David Livingstone Birthplace

Seed Bomb Workshop

Date: 13:00-15:00 28 August 2022

Join us at David Livingstone Birthplace for "My Own Scottish Flower Garden" - a new series of workshops facilitated by artist Sophie Minervini. We will explore our local and native plant life throughout the David Livingstone Birthplace grounds, promoting curiosity and connection with our natural world. Supported by ‘Grow Wild’ - the national outreach programme of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Free for all participants but places must be booked in advance.

Open to ages 5-14, with accompanying adults.

Workshop 2: Seed Bombs Workshop

In this free workshop, we will explore seed bombs — balls of compost, clay, and flower seeds squeezed together and left to dry in the sun. Each participant can make their own seed bomb to take home and plant in a garden or plant pot. We will share knowledge about native Scottish flowers and explore the future of plat life in Scotland.
