Seed Head and Drawing Workshop

We will explore our local and native plant life throughout the David Livingstone Birthplace grounds, promoting curiosity and connection with our natural world. Supported by ‘Grow Wild’ - the national outreach programme of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Free for all participants but places must be booked in advance.

Open to ages 5-14, with accompanying adults.

Workshop 1: Seed Head & Drawing Workshop

In this free workshop, we will collect seeds and document the flowers we see through the David Livingstone Birthplace grounds. We will journey through the grounds and document the plant life we see. Is it invasive? Is it native? How does this plant spread it seeds? We will then draw our findings using inspiration from the plant life. These artworks will then be used in a final artistic output for the project.
