Fair Work First Statement

David Livingstone Trust is committed to delivering better recruitment and employment practices aligned with the Scottish Government's guidance on "Fair Work First" programme.

David Livingstone Trust supports Fair Work First by adopting high standards and fair working practices.

Fair Work First programme gives individuals an influential voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment, and respect.

We aim to provide a positive working environment with high-quality and engaging work where our people feel they belong and can thrive. We care about their safety, health and wellbeing and seek to maximise their talent and skills.

We require all our people to fulfil essential training on equality and diversity.

We have no inappropriate use of zero-hours contracts, with almost all our people securely engaged on terms stating regular weekly working hours.

We have a diverse and inclusive workplace and a fully diverse organisational culture.

We are an accredited Living Wage employer, paying at least the Scottish Living Wage to all employees and workers. We offer progressive and flexible family-friendly working practices for all our people to support diversity and inclusion and to enable the balancing of work life with personal needs.

Our Fair Work First statement remains under review and is open to further improvement in consultation in the future.
