Legacies of Resistance: Our Shared Stories - Black History Month

This is an archived event. Please see our Events page for our current events.

Date: 11:00-14:30 6 October 2025

Join us for Black History Month 2025 at the David Livingstone Birthplace Museum. We will be running creative workshops - such as jewellery making, clay art, poetry, and more! - inspired by objects of African origin found within our collection and celebrating the hidden legacies of the unsung African heroes who shaped Livingstone’s journey through storytelling, museum talks and music.

We will incorporate the work of our community group as part of Connection Communities and Collections.
