Join us this Easter with activities and workshops for all ages, come on down to David Livingstone Centre to join us celebrating Easter.

Saturday 5th April - Monday 21st April 2025 - Easter Museum Tickets: Children Go Free

This Easter children go free in the museum with every adult ticket!

Visit the room that David Livingstone was born in and learn about his life as a Blantyre mill worker, follow him on his journey to Central Africa, learn about his discoveries and the people who helped him along the way, he even fought a lion! There’s a quiz to test your knowledge, and a prize at the end for your hard work.

Thursday 17th April 2025 - Teddy Bears Picnic

Join us outside in our nature gazebo for a teddy bears picnic! Bring along your favourite cuddly toy to our teddy bears picnic, where we’ll sing some songs, listen to stories and enjoy teddy snacks together.

Friday 18th April - Saturday 19th April 2025 - Easter Egg-stravaganza!

Join in on the fun this Easter weekend with our Easter Egg-stravaganza! There are fun activities for everyone from spring crafts and biscuit decorating to outdoor games and an Easter scavenger hunt in our explorers’ garden, can you spot all the hidden eggs to claim your prize?

Including special events,

  • Easter Crafts - Make some fun Easter crafts at David Livingstone Centre! Join in to plant your own sunflower, make spring themed crafts to take home, and decorate your own easter biscuit then eat your masterpiece! (All materials provided)
  • Explorer’s Garden Easter Hunt (Saturday Only) - The Easter Bunny has been to the David Livingstone Centre and left behind some clues! Can you find all the hidden easter eggs in the explorers’ garden? Each egg has a letter clue, figure out the secret word, and head to the gift shop where a sweet prize is waiting for you...
