Easter Events Weekend 2026

Date March 2026

Join in on the fun at the David Livingstone Centre this Easter weekend for an egg-ceptional array of Easter themed activities (see our Events section to book your tickets now).

Book Now

Our children’s Easter crafts will be running all day Friday and Saturday, so book your spot and come along and try your hand at a variety of crafty fun such as:

  • Miniature beaded pot plant
  • Hanging bird picture
  • Pop up Chick
  • Paper Butterflies
  • Spring crowns
  • Cottonwool sheep
  • Easter Baskets

You will also be able to plant some seeds to take home and watch them grow to celebrate spring.

Teddy bears have been spotted in our Gazebo enjoying a quiet picnic, why not book your slot and join them on Friday the 3rd of April. Don’t forget to bring along your favourite cuddly toy to the picnic, where we’ll sing some songs, listen to stories and enjoy teddy snacks together.

We will also be debuting out new ceramic painting workshop on Saturday the 4th of April. Text your artistic skills painting one of our blank ceramics, glaze it, and take it home the same day!

Our grounds are coming alive with the turning of the seasons; fairies have been spotted hiding in our Exploring Garden! Can you find them all? Not only that, but the Easter bunny has visited and left egg-shaped clues for you to find, put together all the clues and crack the puzzle to head to the gift shop where a prize will be awaiting you.

There is more to do in our grounds than hunt for eggs and fairies, however! There will be facepainting and egg painting which once dry can be rolled down the hill and chased.

Don’t worry, the museum has not been left out of the Easter fun! Mother Hen has once again misplaced her clutch of eggs throughout the museum and they have recently hatched, baby chicks are running amok, can you help us spot them all?

After tiring yourself out and building up an appetite with all these activities, why not stop off in the café for a children’s Easter all day breakfast!
