This summer, our family events and activities are FREE so get involved and get into summer!
It’s been a tough year for families, with the pandemic affecting so many children and young people. We could all do with a little boost. That’s why – with the support of Get into Summer - we’re offering a summer programme of FREE events, designed to get kids, teens and parents out and about.
Please visit our Events section and follow us on social media for news of our latest events.

These events have been funded by Museums Galleries Scotland as part of the Scottish Government’s
Get into Summer programme, supporting opportunities for children and young people to socialise, play and reconnect this summer.
We are very grateful to our key funders the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic Environment Scotland and the Scottish Government for their support in helping us deliver the Birthplace Project.
Note: Please note that David Livingstone Birthplace (and the David Livingstone Trust) is no longer part of National Trust Scotland (NTS).
NTS members will therefore no longer receive discounted/free entry to the Birthplace Museum.
As a registered charity we rely on your donations to help us maintain the museum, its unique collections and educational programmes. Your generosity will make a difference, thank you.
