Do you feel passionate about museums and heritage?

Do you want to work towards a qualification in museums?

If so, we want to hear from you! We have two new volunteer roles available at David Livingstone Birthplace (DLB). As part of Museums Galleries Scotland’s project ‘Upskilling and Celebrating Volunteers’ you can apply to volunteer on one of our museum projects and work towards an SVQ in Museums and Galleries Practice. Join us at an exciting time in the redevelopment of the museum, and help us prepare for reopening!

Some of the things our volunteers have said about volunteering at DLB:

"The team really values their volunteers and wants them to do what will give them the skills they are looking for."

"Everyone was so welcoming and lovely. The collection is also so diverse so every day I got to handle very different kinds of objects. I feel much more secure now when I apply for Museum jobs!"

The application deadline is Monday 14 September 2020.
